Jhon Duran’s ‘Dream’ Transfer Hint Amid Chelsea Interest

Jhon Duran's 'Dream' Transfer Hint Amid Chelsea Interest

Chelsea are intensifying their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran ahead of the summer transfer window. The Blues have contacted the 20-year-old striker’s representatives recently, according to football.london. Villa is open to selling Duran if a bid of around £40-45 million is made. The Colombian has previously expressed his ‘dream’ move, providing a significant hint about his potential next club.

Chelsea Eyeing Duran Transfer Despite Villa’s Firm Stance

Chelsea will strive to lower the transfer fee, but sources say Aston Villa will not accept anything less at this time. While personal terms haven’t been extensively discussed, they aren’t expected to be an issue.

Based on Duran’s comments five months ago, he seems eager for a move to Stamford Bridge. In January, he told Colombian outlet Win Sports TV: “I remain focused on Aston Villa. I am not aware of interest from AC Milan or Chelsea. They are giant clubs and it would be a pleasure, but I have no knowledge of anything.” He added: “As a child, you dream of playing there [Milan or Chelsea].”

Chelsea Seek New Striker to Support Jackson

Chelsea aim to boost their attack under new head coach Enzo Maresca, starting next month at Stamford Bridge. Despite missing a month for the Africa Cup of Nations, Nicolas Jackson played 44 matches last season, scoring 17 goals in his debut season for the Blues.

Signed last summer, the 22-year-old striker was expected to gradually integrate into the team. However, injuries to Christopher Nkunku and Armando Broja’s January loan disrupted these plans. Chelsea now seeks to ease the burden on Jackson by adding more attacking options.

Benjamin Sesko was a target but is set to stay at RB Leipzig. While long-term interest in Victor Osimhen has cooled due to his high price tag, Chelsea now eyes Duran as their primary target for a central striker. The Blues hope to secure the youngster this summer.
