Tuchel Exits Manchester United Managerial Race

Thomas Tuchel has withdrawn from consideration as Manchester United’s next manager after discussions with Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Ratcliffe, who oversees United’s football policy, met with Tuchel in Monaco to discuss the potential replacement of Erik ten Hag. However, Tuchel perceived that Ratcliffe was not inclined to offer him the position and chose to step away.

The review of United’s season, which will determine Ten Hag’s future, has entered its third week without a set conclusion date. Potential candidates to replace Ten Hag include Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, and England’s Gareth Southgate.

Southgate’s Potential Move Post-Euro 2024

Any decision regarding Southgate’s future must wait until after England’s Euro 2024 campaign, beginning Sunday against Serbia and potentially lasting until the final on July 14.
