Spurs rely on away form in survival fight
Tottenham face Leeds United on Monday at 20:00 BST after back-to-back wins moved them out of the bottom three.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side impressed in the 2-1 win at Aston Villa, giving supporters renewed belief in the relegation battle.
Spurs are third in the Premier League away form table, behind only Arsenal and Manchester City. They have earned 70.3% of their points on the road, the highest share by any team in a Premier League season.
Home record remains a major concern
Tottenham’s position is still fragile because of their poor home form.
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they have won only 2 league matches, collected 11 points and scored 20 goals in 17 games.
They have also lost 10 home league matches in successive seasons. One more home defeat would equal the club record of 11 from the 1991-92 campaign.
Leeds move close to safety
Leeds arrive in strong form and are close to securing Premier League survival.
Daniel Farke’s team are unbeaten in their last 6 league matches. Another unbeaten game would give them a second 7-match unbeaten run this season.
Since the start of December, Leeds have taken 32 points. Only 6 Premier League teams have collected more in that period.
Leeds carry attacking threat
Leeds have also improved away from home, going 6 matches unbeaten on the road.
Their 47 league goals match Aston Villa’s total. They have scored 3 or more goals in 8 different matches this season, a figure bettered only by Manchester City and Brentford.
Tottenham have a strong recent record in this fixture, though. Leeds have not won on any of their last 6 visits to Spurs, dating back to 2001.
