Marcus Rashford’s Uncertain Future at Manchester United
Marcus Rashford is not deemed indispensable by Manchester United after a challenging 2023-24 season, where he struggled to find the back of the net and faced significant criticism. In March, there were rumors that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) might place a £75 million bid for the forward. However, PSG seemed to reconsider this decision, as reports a month later suggested a change of heart regarding Rashford.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding PSG’s interest, United remains open to offers for Rashford, as reported by ESPN. The club is not proactively seeking to sell him but will entertain offers exceeding £70 million for their homegrown talent.
Old Trafford insiders believe that PSG might be the only club willing to meet Rashford’s asking price and salary expectations. Although Rashford appeared committed to staying at United, his stance could change following the club’s openness to potential deals.
Manager Erik ten Hag has expressed his intention to retain Rashford, but his own future at the club is unclear, and the final decision may ultimately be beyond his control.

In a statement made in March, the Manchester United manager emphasized, “He wasn’t re-signed last season for a five-year term with the intention of selling him, absolutely not. He should be a key player in this project, and that’s not something we’re considering discussing.” Despite participating in 40 matches across all competitions this season, Rashford has managed to net only eight goals for United.
