Bournemouth aim to keep rising stars despite transfer interest

Bournemouth are preparing to fight off interest in several of their young stars during the summer transfer window after an impressive season in the Premier League.

The club want to keep Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott as they prepare for their first ever Europa League campaign.

Alex Scott expected to sign new contract

Midfielder Alex Scott has become one of Bournemouth’s most important players since joining from Bristol City.

The club are now confident the 22 year old will agree a new long term contract despite attention from rival Premier League clubs and top European teams.

Scott recently earned another England call up and is expected to travel with the national team for a training camp in Florida ahead of upcoming friendly matches.

Although he missed out on the latest World Cup squad, he remains highly regarded inside the England setup.

Kroupi and Rayan attracting major attention

Teenagers Eli Junior Kroupi and Rayan have also impressed scouts across Europe after strong breakthrough seasons.

Kroupi made history by becoming the first teenager to score 13 goals during a debut Premier League campaign after arriving from Lorient last summer.

Meanwhile Brazilian winger Rayan joined Bournemouth from Vasco da Gama in January and has already earned a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.

Despite the growing attention, Bournemouth are determined to keep both players for at least another season.

Release clauses unlikely to trigger exits

The club believe their current contract situations protect them from immediate transfer pressure.

Kroupi arrived in a deal worth around £12 million, while Rayan reportedly has a release clause valued at €100 million.

However, that clause is not expected to become active until the summer of 2027.

Bournemouth have sold important players in recent years, but only Dean Huijsen departed after a single season when Real Madrid activated his £50 million release clause.

Europa League qualification changes club ambitions

Manager Andoni Iraola guided Bournemouth to a historic sixth place finish in the Premier League despite several major player sales during the campaign.

The success secured European football for the first time in club history and has increased optimism around the project.

At the same time, Iraola himself is attracting attention from clubs including AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth still planning summer signings

While trying to keep their young core together, Bournemouth also want to strengthen the squad before next season.

The club are searching for a new central defender to replace Marcos Senesi, who is expected to leave on a free transfer.

A striker to compete with Evanilson is also among the main priorities for the summer window.
