The 2.03-meter Serbian middle blocker, who has spent most of his professional life playing in Italy’s SuperLega, is set to finish his career with the team he refers to as his favorite.
Early Career and Lube’s First Stint
Podrascanin began his volleyball career in his native Serbia with Vojvodina Novi Sad, where he secured one national championship and three national cups. In 2007, he made the leap to Italy, joining Lube after a season with Famigliulo Corigliano. During his initial stint at Lube, Podrascanin won several prestigious titles, including a CEV Challenge Cup, two national championships, one Coppa Italia, and three Supercoppa Italiana trophies.
A Decorated Career
Podrascanin’s career in Italy also included time with Perugia and Trentino, where he added two SuperLega titles, two national cups, and three national super cups. His most recent accolade came with a CEV Champions League title in 2024. In addition, his collection of honors includes medals from various competitions, such as the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship, where he secured bronze in 2021 and silver in 2022.
National Team Achievements
Podrascanin’s impact extends beyond club competitions. He has been a vital member of Serbia’s national team since 2006, helping the team secure several significant titles. He won the FIVB World League in 2016 and became a two-time European champion in 2011 and 2019.
