Tomas Rosicky Addresses Arsenal’s Interest in Sporting Director Role

Tomas Rosicky has confirmed that he is on Arsenal’s radar as they search for a new sporting director. However, the former midfielder has stated that while he is aware of the club’s interest, he has not received any formal offer from the Gunners.

Arsenal’s Search for a New Sporting Director

Arsenal have been without a permanent sporting director since Edu resigned from the position in November. Jason Ayto, Edu’s former assistant, has been filling in as interim sporting director since then. A variety of names, including Andrea Berta, Dan Ashworth, Roberto Olabe, and Thiago Scuro, have been linked to the role in recent months.

Rosicky, who spent 10 years at Arsenal as a player, has also emerged as a potential candidate for the position.

Rosicky’s Connection with Arsenal

While Rosicky is honored to be considered for such a role, he made it clear that no official offer has been extended to him. “I am aware that I am on their radar, but I haven’t received any offer,” Rosicky told Flashscore. “My connection with Arsenal is natural because I spent 10 years there, and when you spend 10 years somewhere, you form a strong bond.”

Rosicky also mentioned his deep ties to Sparta Prague, where he currently serves as sporting director. “I have a strong bond with Arsenal and I have a strong bond with Sparta Prague. Those are the two clubs that I love football-wise because I have a warm relationship with them,” he added.

Despite no offer being made, Rosicky expressed gratitude for the consideration and admiration for the Gunners’ interest. The 44-year-old, who made nearly 250 appearances for Arsenal, continues to enjoy a successful career as a football executive with Sparta Prague.
