Red Bull Expands Football Involvement with Leeds United Partnership

Red Bull has acquired a minority stake in Leeds United, further expanding its extensive football portfolio. The company will also serve as the principal shirt sponsor for Leeds starting next season. This move aligns Red Bull with 49ers Enterprises, another major stakeholder in the Championship club.

The partnership will see Red Bull’s logo featured prominently on the first-team kits for both the men’s and women’s teams. However, this collaboration does not include any changes to the club’s name or the iconic Elland Road stadium.

Leeds United’s chairman, Paraag Marathe, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. “I am thrilled that Red Bull is joining us to build a bright future for Leeds United and shares our deep respect for this truly special club,” Marathe stated. He emphasized the importance of the partnership as the club approaches a crucial phase, highlighting Red Bull’s role as a pivotal force in helping the club achieve its full competitive potential.

Leeds United has become the sixth football club under Red Bull’s expanding portfolio, joining the likes of RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, RB Bragantino, and RB Brazil. Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull’s Chief Executive of Corporate Projects and Investments, expressed a clear ambition: “The ambition to bring Leeds United back to the Premier League.” After a challenging playoff final loss to Southampton last Sunday, Leeds is set to spend another season in the Championship.
