David Moyes Set to Visit Everton’s New Stadium for the First Time

Everton manager David Moyes will visit the club’s new stadium this week, marking a strong sign that he believes the team is safe from relegation.

Everton’s Safety Almost Secured

With Southampton already relegated and Leicester and Ipswich likely to join them in the Championship next season, Everton currently sits on 35 points. They are 15 points clear of the relegation zone with seven games remaining.

Moyes’ Cautious Optimism

Moyes has consistently stated in recent weeks that the target is to reach 40 points to guarantee Premier League survival. In March, he mentioned, “I haven’t visited the new stadium yet because I won’t go until I feel safe.”

However, following a hard-fought draw against Arsenal on Saturday, Moyes is now ready to check out the new state-of-the-art stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, indicating his belief that safety is within reach.

Looking Ahead to Premier League Stability

Moyes acknowledged after the match: “Mathematically, we are not safe yet, but I am hoping to visit the stadium this week, which would show that I think we’re pretty close.” He emphasized the importance of continuing to prepare for life in the Premier League and stressed that while the job isn’t done, he feels confident the team will avoid relegation.
