Bristol City player ratings vs Blackburn: Vitek leads strong away win

Vitek delivers match-winning saves

Radek Vitek (8.5) – The Manchester United loanee was busier in the second half and produced several impressive stops, including the crucial save deep in stoppage time that preserved the win. Excellent performance in goal.

George Tanner (8) – Returned to his best at Ewood Park. Solid defensively and offered real attacking threat. Superb pass leading to Scott Twine’s goal and standout tackle on Andri Gudjohnsen.

Noah Eile (7.5) – Very composed at the back. Won most aerial duels and led the defence well. Excellent range of passing and composure on the ball in tough situations.

Rob Atkinson (6.5) – Solid from the left until subbed off at half-time with what looked like a nasty injury. Slightly slow on Blackburn’s opener.

Mark Sykes (7.5) – Played two roles effectively: rampaging wing-back in the first half causing problems, then disciplined fifth defender in the second to protect the lead.

Jason Knight (7) – Battled and scrapped throughout. Played higher up than usual in a high-energy captain’s display.

Sam Morsy (6.5) – Did the dirty work alongside Knight. Dropped deep to progress play and allowed attackers freedom. Important shift before subbing off.

Cam Pring (7.5) – Proper wing-back showing. Won nearly every challenge with last-ditch defending. His cross set up Emil Riis for the opener.

Tomi Horvat (7.5) – Deadline day signing at the heart of City’s best first-half moments. Caused problems from right flank and set-pieces. Solid defensively after the break.

Scott Twine (7.5) – Popped up when needed. Superb finish for the second goal – typical magic moment.

Emil Riis (8) – Dominant while on the pitch. Excellent touch and finish for the opener, plus key pass for Twine’s goal. City looked much better with him leading the line.
