In a thrilling finish, Evan McPherson kicked a field goal with just seven seconds left, propelling the Cincinnati Bengals to a 33-31 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The win ended the Bengals’ four-game losing streak, improving their record to 3-4. For the Steelers, it was their first road loss of the season, dropping them to 4-2.

Veteran quarterbacks duel

The game marked only the fourth matchup between two quarterbacks aged 40 or older. Joe Flacco, leading the Bengals, threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns, while Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers’ quarterback, threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns but was intercepted twice.

Back-and-forth battle

The Steelers initially took a 10-0 lead with a touchdown from Jonnu Smith, but the Bengals responded with strong performances from Ja’Marr Chase (16 catches, 161 yards) and Tee Higgins, putting them ahead 20-10. Pittsburgh’s Pat Freiermuth and Cincinnati’s Noah Fant traded touchdowns, followed by Darnell Washington’s score for the Steelers, bringing the score to 31-30 in Pittsburgh’s favor.

With the Steelers leading, McPherson stepped up to kick his fourth field goal of the game, sealing the Bengals’ dramatic late win.
